| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Thursday, September 18, 2014 - Mary P. Trent, born June 9, 1945 in Little Rock, Ark., passed away Sept. 14, 2014. She is survived by her sons, James Major of Retrese, Calif. and Shawn O’Brien of Sacramento; sisters, Pauline Butcher of Sherwood, Ark., Virginia Dills of La Elmond, Calif., Genieva Reinhart of Concord, Calif., Margaret Higgins of Cobert, Ark.; brother, Joe Rital; stepdaughters, Tara Singleton of Corona, Calif., Lisa Brewait of Hunnington, Calif.; stepson, Todd Trent of Yucaita, Calif.; three step- granddaughters and four step-grandsons. Mary was preceded in death by her husband David Trent and brother Ken of Arkansas. Mary migrated from Arkansas to California and then on to Lake Havasu City. She was an avid line dancer at the Elks, also enjoyed pickleball, bowling and water sports; loved the desert on ATV’s and dune-buggies, and energetic walking and coffee after. She was always interested in something new, and always had a cheerful hello and a hug to share. Mary will be deeply missed by the many who loved and cared for her. Her faith in God will carry her through this transition. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to a cancer society. Services will be at 10 a.m., Sept. 27, at Calvary Baptist Church, 1605 S. McCulloch Blvd. |
