Services Slated For Mrs. Davis

Funeral services for Mrs. Rachel Banta Davis, 58, Idaho Falls resident, who died at her home Wednesday morning, will be held Friday at 3pm in the Williams Funeral Home.

The funeral officiator will be Rev. George W. Eichler, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. The family will meet friends and relatives at the funeral home from 2pm until service time.

Saturday the body will be shipped to Wickenburg, Ariz., where graveside rites and burial will take place on Monday.

She was born Oct. 20, 1907 at Benson, Ariz. the daughter of Oliver Banta and Rosana Ogle Banta. She grew to womanhood and received her education at Benson and it was there that she later met and married Percy Leroy Davis at Wickenburg, Ariz.

They lived there and in various parts of Arizona, Prescott principally. They separated. In 1956 she came to Idaho Falls, and has been living here since. She has been employed at the Idaho Potato Growers Assn.

She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Lloyd (Pearl) Christesen, Basalt; Percy L. Davis, Rigby,; Mrs. Ray (Georgia) Christesen, Window Rock, Ariz.; one brother, David W Banta, Wickenburg, and 15 grandchildren.

One son, twin girls, and another daughter have preceded her in death.
