Mary Ruth Elizabeth O'Brien

Mary Ruth Elizabeth O'Brien was born on Nov. 17, 1937, and made her journey to heaven on Sept. 19, 2014.

She was so strong and fought a hard battle with cancer. Her persistence, positive attitude and commitment to never give up showed her amazing resiliency and strength. She will suffer no more and is now in a wonderful place where her husband, Chuck O'Brien, has been waiting with open arms.

She is survived by her children, Bonnie Black, Don Thrailkill, David Thrailkill, Ron O'Brien, Linda O'Brien, Larry O'Brien, Mike O'Brien and Jim O'Brien, all of their spouses, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

She will be remembered for her faith, kind heart and love. A "celebration of her life" memorial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at the First Baptist Church, 148 S. Marina St., Prescott, Ariz.

Arrangements were entrusted to Hampton Funeral Home.

Mary Ruth Elizabeth O'Brien was born on Nov. 17, 1937, in Iowa and made her journey to heaven on Sept. 19, 2014. She was so strong and fought a hard battle with cancer.

Her persistence, positive attitude and commitment to never give up showed her amazing resiliency and strength. She will suffer no more and is now in a wonderful place where her husband, Chuck O'Brien has been waiting with open arms.

She is survived by her 104-year-old mother, Mabel Parks; and three siblings, Arnold, Marilyn and Richard. She is also survived by her children, Bonnie Black, Don Thrailkill, David Thrailkill, Ron O'Brien, Linda O'Brien, Larry O'Brien, Mike O'Brien and Jim O'Brien, and all of their spouses, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She will be remembered for her faith, kind heart and love.
