Vera (MacPherson) Stewart was born in Grenfell, Saskatchewan, Canada and passed away, much too soon, on Sept. 28, 2014, in Mesa, Ariz.

During her lifetime, she resided in four countries and many cities, including 18 fulfilling years in Prescott. Vera's life in Prescott was enriched by her many close friends and her volunteer activities. She served several years with Yavapai College support groups, including the College Foundation Board. The College honored Vera's service by planting two trees in her name in the sculpture garden, an ongoing project that Vera held dear. She also spent many happy hours with the International Folk Dancers, performing on the Courthouse Plaza on Wednesdays and at Sharlot Hall Museum on various occasions.

Predeceased by her son Robert, Vera is survived by Don, her loving husband of 59 years; and daughters Sheryl, Vera Lynn; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was one of the joys of Vera's life.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
