Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from Oct. 22 to Oct. 29, 2014 - Bertha Jane Gebler, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 2014 in Fort Mohave, Ariz. She was a rare, native Arizonan, born at home in Phoenix, Ariz. She received her Master's Degree at Arizona State University and taught elementary school for more than 30 years. At her church in Williams, Ariz., Bertha was the organist, she played the bells and participated in the Puppet Ministry. She enjoyed making quilts which were donated for missions in Africa. Survivors include Bertha's three children, Dottie McArthur of Fort Mohave, Ariz., Brenda Gebler of Williams, Ariz, and Douglas (Meghan) Taylor-Gebler of Prescott, Ariz.; one brother, Karl Gaither; two grandsons, Robert Vander Meer and Thomas (Kym) McArthur; three great- grandsons, Dietrich, Heinrich and Erich; and one great-granddaughter, Ambria. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Mohave Valley United Methodist Church at 1593 Lipan in Fort Mohave, Az. Pastor Gene Stouffer will officiate. Bertha's final resting place is in Williams, Ariz. at the Williams Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family appreciates donations to the Mohave Valley United Methodist Church.
