| Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from Oct. 22 to Oct. 29, 2014 - Virginia T. Goodman (nee Holmes), "Ginny" as her friends knew her, of Bullhead City, Ariz. died Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in Las Vegas Nev. after a very short illness. She was born August 7, 1945 in New Jersey. Virginia attended St. Francis Academy in Pittsburgh, Pa. where she was president of her senior class as well as captain of the basketball team. She attended Duquesne University also in Pittsburgh, Pa. In recent years, she enjoyed her work at Walmart, making many good friends while there. She was a member of Chaparral Country Club where she enjoyed playing golf. Ginny had a soft place in her heart for her special pets, and was very devoted to her local church, St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. She is the beloved mother of Francis J. Dopp Jr., of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Lorraine D. Sette of Laguna Beach, Calif., and loving grandmother of Haley Wood. Ginny is also survived by her brothers, Edward, Thomas, Charles, Michael and Christopher Holmes; sisters , Patricia Holmes, Joan Ganser, Theresa Jaworski and Margaret Morace, as well as thirty nieces and nephews. A celebration of Ginny's Life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Chaparral Country Club, 1260 E. Mohave Drive, Bullhead City, Ariz.. All her friends are welcome to attend. |
