Larry Newman
December 17, 1959 - October 20, 2014

Larry Newman 54 of Pinetop-Lakeside passed away peacefully on October 20, 2014. He was born to the late Harold and Ruth Newman, in Gallop, New Mexico on December 17, 1959. He graduated from Blue Ridge High School in 1978.

Larry was considered to be one of the best Backhoe operators on the White Mountains. While his work with Henkels and McCoy took him to far off places he always came home.

Larry was a man's man (and a ladies man) who lived his life on his own terms and in his own way. He was a free spirit, who roamed these beautiful mountains just to catch that perfect sunset. He spent many outings with his family and friends camping, fishing, hunting and telling stories over a camp fire.

He was not a man of wealth but if you needed your driveway plowed, grass mowed or the shirt off his back he would do it with a smile on his face and a beer in his hand.

Larry had a smile that was intoxicating and you couldn't miss it if you saw him on the golf course. He had a love for the game.

He was one of those rare individuals who could do anything he put his mind to - so go in peace and run with the wolves.

Larry is survived by his 2 children Darrell Lawrence Newman and Crystal Anna Newman, grandsons Koston and Wiley of Pinetop-Lakeside Arizona. He also is survived by his brothers Ron Newman and Andy May and sister Jackie Grunlund.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel, 320 North 9th Street in Show Low, Arizona.
