Agustin "Augie" Zapata Hernandez, Jr. passed away October 19, 2014 in Wittmann, Arizona. Augie was born August 5, 1986 in Wickenburg, Az to Loretta Moralez and Agustin Hernandez, Sr.

Augie was raised in Congress and attended schools in Wickenburg. He grew up helping his grandfather on the family ranch. Working as a cowboy as a young man he participated in the Congress Days Parade and the Gold Rush Parade for years. He also competed in the Mucking and Drilling Competition at Gold Rush often doing very well.

Augie worked on the ranch with his grandfather and enjoyed Roundup, often helping on many of the area ranches. When he turned 18 years old he began working in construction with his dad. He joined the Union, working in various locations as a labor foreman. Augie enjoyed collecting older items like 8 track tapes, LP Vinyl albums older cars. Most important to him was family, he enjoyed sitting around a campfire spending time with friends.

Augie was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Bobbi Moralez, paternal grandparents Federico & Maria Luisa Hernandez.

He is survived by his mother Loretta Moralez (Jorden Krecklau) of Wickenburg and his father Agustin (Emily Martinez) of Phoenix, Mat. grandparents Angel (Brenda) Moralez of Congress, Pat. grandparent Gertrude Hernandez of Mexico, God-parents Humberto & Anita Gonzalez of Wickenburg, brothers Matthew (Ashley) Hernandez of Congress, Eric (Catrina) Bowman of Wittmann, uncles David (Cindy) Moralez of Congress, Robert(Bobette) Moralez of Congress and John (Felicia) Moralez of Wickenburg, Efren (Maria) Burciaga of Paradise Valley, Martin (Magdalena) Burciaga of Santa Inez, CA, Federico (Maria) Herandez of Congress, Mariano Hernandez of Wickenburg and aunt Irene (Rodolfo) Zendejas of Los Angeles, CA, numerous cousins and he was very fond of his nieces Catalina Hernandez and Lila Bowman.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Wicenburg Community Center at 160 N. Valentine St. in Wickenburg.
