William “Bill” Hill

Graveside services for William Hill, 80, of Duncan, AZ, will be conducted by Joel Miller at 4:00 p.m. on November 8, 2014 at the Duncan Cemetery. William passed away on October 28, 2014.

William was born July 11, 1934 in Sheldon, AZ, the son of Charles and Rilda Hill. William grew up in Duncan and graduated from Duncan High School in 1953. William worked several years at the Phelps Dodge Mine in Morenci as an electrician.

On April 9, 1955 William married the love of his life, Peggy Jean Walker. William and his brothers owned and operated the Triangle H Bar Ranch. He was also a lifelong member of the Elks Club, an honorary Future Farmer of America and a 4-H leader; who loved his animals. During his free time he enjoyed spending time with his family and teaching them the values of life.

William leaves behind his daughters, Patsy Hill and Jeanna Miller, brother, Harry Hill, sister, Frances Gould, granddaughter, Brandy Miller-Hart, grandsons, Caleb Miller, Oni Miller, Clinton Hill, Cody Wamsley and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Peggy Jean Walker-Hill, daughter Kristy Lee Wamsley, brother Charles Monroe (Dick Hill), sisters, Jerry Johnston, Ella Mae Weaver and Martha May.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers please donate in William’s name to the Duncan FFA.
