Theodore (Ted) Zienka

Theodore Zienka of Lake Havasu City passed away Nov. 20, 2014 he was 96.
Ted was born Feb. 25, 1918, in Philadelphia to the late Caroline and
Kazimierz Zienka.

Ted wed his beautiful bride Shirley Isabel McKay, in the summer of 1943.
They recently celebrated seventy-one great years together. A McCulloch
flight brought the couple to Lake Havasu City in 1973, where they
established Maricopa Electronics.

Ted was a starter at the London Bridge golf course in the 1970s. He was
also a member of the Elks, the American Legion and the VFW. He served in
the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Ted was a hard-working man and great provider for his family. He was
very handy and “could fix anything.”

Ted was preceded in death by his parents Caroline and Kazimierz Zienka
and his brother, Stanley Zienka.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Zienka; sons, Ted (Judy)
Zienka Sr. of St. Croix, Bahamas and Tom (Karen) Zienka of Show Low; and
daughter, Karen Meixner of Lake Havasu City. He also leaves behind seven
grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Graveside services with military honors for Ted will be at 1 p.m.,
Tuesday, at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.

Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
