Tara Suzanne O'Connor
(April 25, 1972 - November 14, 2014)

Tara Suzanne O’Connor, our beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister, passed away in her Flagstaff home, peacefully surrounded by her family.

Tara, our warrior spirit, fought valiantly against cancer over the past year, ending with her passing the morning of November 14, 2014. Tara left a legacy of love, friendship, and community throughout her 42 years. Tara was born and raised in Malvern Pennsylvania. She was a graduate of James Madison University in Virginia, and earned a Juris Doctor degree from University of Colorado in Boulder. Tara practiced as an immigration attorney for Piver Law in both Pennsylvania and Arizona. She served her clients with passion and integrity.

Tara was an aspiring writer and an avid outdoorsman who loved hiking, mountain biking, and camping. Tara’s passion to embrace healthy living, sustainability, and local food consumption made her a model of personal responsibility to all who knew her. She was a deeply spiritual person and an active member of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany.

Tara’s greatest passion was for her husband and children, who she surrounded with her love, devotion, and patience. Tara is survived by her loving husband Thomas Morgan O’Connor, her sons Liam (age 3) and Quinn (age 11 mos.), her parents, Jim and Sandi Bunker (of Tucson), her sisters, Shannon Carloss and Krista McCraken, her husband’s parents Jim and Marcia O’Connor, and her husband’s siblings, Erin McElwee, Leslie Frisina, Jim O’Connor, and Cindy Kulp.

Those who knew Tara will miss her beautiful spirit and glowing smile.

A memorial service will be held at The Church of the Epiphany on Saturday, November 22nd at 12:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to help support her children. Make donations payable to the Tara O’Connor Donation Account: National Bank by Mail, Chase, P.O. Box 36520 Louisville, KY 40233-6520
