Genevieve A. Morrison, 81, of Prescott, Arizona, born June 26, 1933, in Trout Creek, Michigan, passed away Nov. 24, 2014.

Genevieve Ann Morrison (née Benstrom), beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, aunt, Nana and friend, gracefully departed this life Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, in the early morning hours after a brief stay at the Marley House Hospice in Prescott, Arizona. Genevieve was 81 years old, born in Trout Creek, Michigan on June 26, 1933.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Calvin Morrison; and her four children, Kim McCarty (Tom), Kristina Rick (Robert), Kelly Mattox (Jack) and Kirk Morrison (Roxann). She also has five grandchildren whom she adored, Erin McCarty, R.J. Rick, Kerry Rick, Dean Mattox and Mitchell Mattox.

Gen attended Ewen/Trout Creek High School and then Baker College in Flint, Michigan, where she studied general business administration. She worked at Garwood Industries and the Wayne and Northville, Michigan, school districts. She later worked at a CPA office while living in Walnut Creek, California for 12 years before moving to Prescott in 1998 where she and Cal retired.

She was a proud member of the Daughters of the King. Her interests and hobbies were quilting, knitting, sewing, scrap booking, travel, entertaining, gardening, walking, church and quality family time.

A memorial Eucharist service for Genevieve will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 2000 Shepherds Way, Prescott, Arizona. There will be a lunch served after the service.

In lieu of flowers, Gen's family asks that you send a memorial donation to the Good Samaritan Services - Prescott Hospice (Marley House), 1065 Ruth St., Prescott, AZ 86301 or good-sam.com.
