Karen Louise (Burtz) Greenfield

Karen Louise Burtz Greenfield was born June 6, 1942, in San Diego, California, and passed away on Nov. 12, 2014, in Arizona.

Karen worked for the State of Arizona Worker's Compensation Department, General Electric and the St. Paul insurance companies.

She enjoyed camping and hiking and hiked both the Grand Canyon and Havasupai Canyon. Karen left Phoenix in 1995 and moved to Prescott Valley, Arizona. While living in the mountain country, she switched careers and became a CNA and worked with the elderly, giving them care in either their homes or in senior living facilities.

Karen is survived by her husband, Charles Greenfield; two sisters, Marilyn Estrada and Leeann Astemborski; four stepchildren; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; three nieces; one nephew; and multiple great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Florence Burtz.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at First Southern Baptist Church, 2820 Pleasant View Drive, Prescott Valley, Arizona.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Banner Good Samaritan Hospital, the Banner Hospice Medical and Ancillary staff and to the Area Agency on Aging Region One ombudsman group for their assistance.
