Mary Sue (Parker) Taylor

Mary Sue Taylor of Sun City, Ariz. passed away Oct. 22, 2014 at the age of 70. Born Nov., 24, 1934, the daughter of Chester Knight Parker and Mary Ruth Parker. She moved to the area as an infant from Fort Thomas. She went on to graduate from Globe High School.

Mary was a librarian in the Old Dominion Library in Globe from 1955 until 1960. She retired from JC Penney after a 27-year career.

A member of the First Christian Church, Mary was also the President of the Sun City Ceramics Club.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and brother, Lewis Parker.

She is survived by her husband, William ‘Bill’ Taylor; her daughters, Kathy Kennedy of Litchfield Park, Ariz., and Sharon Gardone of Chester Springs, Penn.; as well as her grandchildren Derek Silver, Michael Gardone, and Anthony Gardone; and siblings Ronald Parker of Sun City, Ariz. and Lula Nylund of Globe, Ariz.

There will not be a funeral service and arrangements are being handled by Hospice of the Valley, 602-530-6900.
