The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ June 27, 2001 Mike D. Daniels of Wickenburg, died June 19 in Wickenburg. He was 44. Mr. Daniels was born July 4, 1956 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He had lived in Arizona for the past 20 years. Mike had friends who stuck with him until the end. He was truly loved. Mike was a Choctaw Indian and a fighter to the end. Up until two years ago he had been exceptionally healthy. He was an avid body builder, marathon runner and health enthusiast. He lived for football. He graduated with top honors at Devry Institute of Technology, winning the best all-around student award. He became a very successful independent computer contractor. Mike adored the land, wildlife, animals, and children. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, leaving with an honorable discharge and receiving the National Defense Service medal. He was an artist with oil paintings at Helen Vohl's Gallery. He was also a writer. A true family man and warrior up until his recent death. We will miss him immensely -- Mike, rest in peace. He is survived by his wife, Deidre J. Daniels; father Dan Daniels and his wife, JoAnne; a daughter, Kayla; one sister; and five brothers. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Verno. No services were held. Frey Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements. |
