Lee Ella Thomas, 74, of Eloy passed away on November 9, 2005.

A visitation will be held at J. Warren Funeral Services Valley Chapel on November 15, 2005 from 6-8:00 p.m. with Services at First United Methodist Church of Eloy on November 16, 2005 at 11:00 a.m.

ELOY - Lee Ella Thomas, 74, of Eloy died Nov. 9, 2005 at Maricopa Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bryant McNeal officiating. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.

Mrs. Thomas was born Nov. 7, 1931 in Pennington, Texas. She was a church mother in Mount Zion Church of God in Christ and a member of Order of the Eastern Star. She worked at the Arizona Training Program at Coolidge for 25 years before retiring in 1989.

Survivors include two daughters, Gladys Sherfield and Pearlie (Thomas) McKinney of Eloy; four sons, Hugie L. Thomas Jr. and Archie L. Thomas of Eloy, Curtis Horace of Phoenix and Maynard Bradford of Casa Grande; two sisters, Corine Cotton of Eloy and Johnnie F. Armstrong of Mesa; three brothers, Easter L. and Archie Sweat of Eloy and Lawrence Sweat of Casa Grande; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugie L. Thomas Sr.; a sister, Janice Griffin; and two brothers, James and Bishop Sweat Jr.
