Marjorie “Marge” Skites

Marge Skites, 75, passed away with grace on Dec 05 2014 with her husband Ron at her side in their winter home in Salome, AZ. She put up a courageous fight with pancreatic cancer. Details for a funeral mass and a memorial service will be decided later.

Marge was born on April 8, 1939 at Columbus Hospital in Great Falls, MT to Calvin L. and Ann M. Faris. She graduated valedictorian from Central Catholic High School. She studied at North Idaho College and became a registered nurse in 1985. She and her husband Ron spent summers in Harrison, ID and winters in Salome, AZ.

She is survived by her husband Ronald and her three sons: Walter in Portland, OR, Douglas and his wife Regina in Evanston, IL, Daniel and his wife Pamela in Sitges, Spain; her grandchildren, Emma, Alyssa, Sofia, Isabela and Cooper; and her brother Ken Faris and his wife Shirley.

She loved her garden, nursing, flying with her husband, her friends and especially her family.

Her ashes are currently planned to be interned at the Veterans’ National Cemetery in Prescott, AZ to rest beside those of her veteran husband’s upon his death.

In lieu of flowers,the family requests that memorial gifts be sent to either: National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024 Attn: Deborah Ryan–For the beautification of Prescott National Cemetery or, Mayo Clinic Cancer Research Program, Department of Development, 13400 E. Shea Blvd., Scottsdale, Arizona 85259.
