Mae Hellick Roberts of Wickenburg, died Aug. 8. She was 93. Mrs. Roberts was born Dec. 30, 1907 in Easton, Penn. She was a longtime Wickenburg resident.

Mrs. Roberts was a retired hospital dietician. She was a graduate of Penn State University, and a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, local Palo Verde Chapter, and a member of the American Diabetic Association for over 50 years.

She served in the U.S. Army during World War II, where she was the hospital dietician of the 33rd General Hospital. She served 28 months in the Mediterranean Theater, and was discharged with the rank of captain.

Survivors include her niece, Catherine Van Ness and nephew, George F. Hellick III.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Roberts, in 1971; stepdaughter Margaret H. Roberts, in 2000; and her brother, George F. Hellick, Jr., in 1989.

Services will be held at a later date in Easton, Penn.

Arrangements were by the Wickenburg Funeral Home.
