Madge honored her role as wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Always an elegant lady, she exuded strength in business, balance in family and a caring spirit with friends. Madge was born Oct. 23, 1920, the daughter of Katherine and Derwood Petrie. She graduated from senior high school in 1938. Before her marriage in 1945 to Jack M. After Jack's death in 1974, she became president of Big Sky Linen, which she successfully increased through her tenacious business acumen. In 1982, Madge married the second love of life, Bill Schumacher. Mutual respect, companionship and traveling to Arizona were threads that prevailed in their marriage until Bill's death in 1992. It is our tribute to Madge to go confidently through life, having been honored with her love and unselfish support.
