The Arizona Republic 7/27/2008 Jean Gloria Hersh Barshay, 81, of Prescott passed away on July 16, 2008. Born 11/16/26 in Allentown Pennsylvania, daughter of Harvey and Pansy Hersh. Graduate of Philadelphia College of Pharmacy & Science-BS RPh 1949- past national president Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. She was former fellow Amer. College of Apothecaries and many other pharmacy organizations. She was co-owner of multiple pharmacies including Thunderbird Pharmacy in Scottsdale from 1965 - 1981. Sons, Jay and Jeffrey Barshay, Prescott, AZ; grandchildren, Jesse and Bradley Barshay, Seattle, and Justin and Patrick Barshay, Arizona. Great-grandchildren, Desirae and Jeffery Barshay, Seattle & Arizona. She was preceded in death by g grandson Cameron Bradley Barshay, Seattle, and Bernard B. Barshay, husband and Pharmacist. Service at Paradise Memorial Gardens 9300 E. Shea Blvd. Scottsdale AZ.
