Frank Godfrey Mills

Frank Godfrey Mills, Sr. of Yarnell, passed away at his home in Yarnell on Sept. 19. He was 65.

He was born June 25, 1936 in West Hartford, Conn. He had lived in Arizona for the past 34 years. Frank lived in Yarnell for the past six years, while enjoying his home in Cholla Bay, Mexico for the past 15 years.

In Yarnell, Frank continued his lifelong love for farming by caring for several gardens and trees at his personal residence. Frank also had a thirst for knowledge and read constantly only to share what he learned with his family and friends.

Frank served his country in the Korean War, after enlisting in the U.S. Army.

Oh, the stories he could tell. He will be missed by many. We all loved him and will continue living in his spirit.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Mills; daughter Shelly Woodward Mills Sandoval of Fallbrook, Calif.; sons, Frank Godfrey Mills, Jr. of Seattle, Wash. and Bennett Scott Mills of Denver, Colo.; sisters, Meredith Mentzer, Nancy Dallas, Bonnie Castonguay and Ginger Armstrong; grandchildren Brandon and Mathew; many nieces, nephews and friends; and his dog, "Soks."

Private memorial services will be held at the Mills home on Friday, Sept. 28.

Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service was in charge of all arrangements.
