Casa Grande (AZ) Dispatch Thursday, July 17, 1958, p 1 Highway Crash Kills CG Service Station Worker, Injures Buddy An employee of the Standard Oil Station at Second and Market Sts was killed and another critically injured in a highway crash about 20 miles south of Tucson early yesterday, Wednesday morning, according to a State Highway Patrol report to police headquarters here. Larry R Barr, 19, was killed in the crash and his companion, Tom Slaughter, 20, is in critical condition at St Mary's Hospital in Tucson, the report said. Barr, whose mother is believed to own a cafe at Wickenburg, had been employed at the service station for about three weeks, coming here from Phoenix, while Slaughter, who came to Casa Grande from Ohio, had worked there for about six weeks. Other employees of the station said the two young men had left Tuesday night to spend their days off in Nogales. Tucson (AZ) Daily Citizen Wednesday, July 16, 1958, p 24 Larry Roscoe Bahr, 19, of Phoenix, was dead on arrival at Pima County Hospital this morning, following automobile accident on the Nogales Highway.
