Anita D. Salcido, 83, of Somerton and formerly of Maricopa, died Nov. 15, 2006 at home. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande, with rosary recited at 5. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Mrs. Salcido was born April 22, 1923 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a homemaker and loved knitting, sewing, crocheting and gardening. She made sure no one left with an empty stomach. She was Catholic and was devoted to her family. Survivors include five sons, Sylvester Salcido of Somerton, Tony Salcido of Casa Grande, Roy Salcido of Chandler, Jaime Salcido of Kentucky and Arthur Salcido of Florence; four daughters, Rosa Moreno of Chandler, Blanca Quintano of Mesa, Carmen Montano of Maricopa and Irma Salcido of Chandler; 35 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio, and two sons, Xavier and Manuel Salcido. ©Casa Grande Valley Newspapers Inc. 2006 |
