Erwin Ellis Pell
October 13, 1925 - February 23, 2015

Erwin Ellis "Jim" Pell, age 89, passed away February 23, 2015. He was born October 13, 1925 in Iowa City, Iowa to Raymond and Neva Stanfield Pell and moved to Phoenix as a child.

He served in the South Pacific during WWII. After the war, he returned home and began working for Salt River Project. There he met Nadine Isaacson. They married and raised their family in Phoenix, Arizona. Jim enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting with his family. He worked for SRP over 35 years.

In 1984, Jim and Nadine retired and moved to Show Low. They took many road trips together across the country, even driving to Alaska. After 60 years together, Nadine passed away in 2009. Though he dearly loved the White Mountains, Jim moved to Mesa in 2012 to be near his children and grandchildren.

He loved his family and left a wonderful posterity. He is survived by his children: Jim (Linda) Pell of Albuquerque; Janet (Robert) Jones of Gilbert; Ray (Diane) Pell of Mesa; and Barb Isaacson-Pell of Phoenix. He was "Grandpa" to 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Reinbolt; his daughter, Lynda Alvidrez; and two grandchildren, Jaclynne and John-Michael Alvidrez.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 12:00 noon at the Show Low Cemetery in Show Low, Arizona. Arrangements were handled thru Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel in Show Low, Arizona.
