Charles William (Bill) Brewster

Charles William Brewster "Bill" was born on May 26, 1929 in Akron, Ohio to Paul and Iona Brewster. In 1947 Bill moved to South Gate, CA. In 1953 he moved to Arizona.

Bill lived a very successful and very full life. He served for the United States Navy and Navy Reserves. Bill retired from the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier.

After retirement Bill traveled the United States and Canada. After travels he settled down in Cottonwood with his wife and daughter. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and other members of society. He also enjoyed cribbage, cooking and fishing.

Bill took his time to go be with the Lord on February 23, 2015. He is now watching his family from above.

Bill is survived by his wife of 23 great years, Marie E. Brewster; daughters Joann Cooper, Karen Crowell (Jack), Cindy Apodoca (Bobby) and Debbie Schlink (Marshall); sons Art Pickering (Bonnie) and Beecher Pickering (Valerie); Charles Haynes (Brandy); 19 grandkids; 44 great-grandkids and 6 great-great-grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Dorris Brewster and parents Paul and Iona Brewster.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 11:45am at Verde Valley Christian Church, 406 S. 6th St in Cottonwood.
