Mary M. Teague
Longtime Flagstaff resident Mary M. Teague passed away peacefully Feb. 13 while surrounded in love by her family after an extended illness. She was 73.

Mary was a very special person, fondly known and loved by many. She was born in Los Angeles, CA and was the youngest daughter of three children to Howard and Pauline Witt. Mary and her husband Ray first moved to Flagstaff in 1967 have lived in Fort Valley since 1974. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose hobbies included knitting, photography, and genealogy.

She was involved in numerous charitable activities and fraternal organizations through the years, including service to Trinity Heights United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Flagstaff Amateur Radio Club, Girl Scout Leader, and the Flagstaff High School Booster Club. She also worked in dedicated service to the Coconino County Courthouse, the Northern Arizona Comprehensive Guidance Center, and was a successful business owner of the Vita House.

Mary is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ray E. Teague; sister and brother-in-law Jack and Jacque Osmer of Prescott, AZ; children Maj Gen Roger and Kim Teague of Washington D.C. and JD and Kathy Hoyt of Flagstaff; and grandchildren Brett and Kayla Teague, and Davis and Stephanie Hoyt.

Mary touched many lives in so many ways and we will greatly miss her beauty, grace, and gentle caring spirit. We look forward to the day that we will see her again.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Lozano’s Flagstaff Mortuary followed by private burial at Citizens Cemetery.

The family is very grateful for the compassionate care provided by Mary’s caregivers and friends over the years and respectfully request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Northern Arizona Hospice Compassus in her honor.
