Bessie (Packer) Watson

Bessie Packer Watson passed away on April 18, 2009, in Glendale, AZ. at the age of 93. She was the widow of Melvin Watson. Bessie and Melvin were long-time residents of Thatcher and were active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

After Melvin's death in 1983, Bessie moved to Cottonwood to be near her daughters. She lived there independently for 20 years before moving to Glendale in 2005.

She is survived by her children; Darrel (Vera) of Marana, Nelda Reay (Richard) of Glendale, Sylvia Allred (Harold) of Cottonwood, and Steve (Chris) of Tucson, 21 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Central Cemetery.
