| Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Tuesday, April 21, 2009 Mildred C. Medina, 98, of Cottonwood, died April 20. She was born June 27, 1910, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of William Avon Coons and Mildred A. Bushman Coons. She was a graduate of the Chicago school systems. Mrs. Medina spent 38 years as an elementary school teacher. She was a 16-year member of the Verde Baptist Church. Her interests included traveling, reading, craving and crafts. Her survivors include two nephews, 10 great nephews and nieces and numerous cousins. There are no public services planned. An online guestbook is available at www.westcottfuneralhome.com.
