Dewey Bing Nelson, Sr.

Dewey Bing Nelson Jr. died March 24, 2015, at his home in Prescott. He was born Feb. 16, 1946, the son of Dewey and Helen (Talawytewa) Nelson Sr.

Dewey retired as the groundskeeper for Parks and Recreation for the City of Prescott. He loved sports and being out doors. He enjoyed painting the backdrops for Prescott High School theatrical productions. Dewey was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was very grateful for his children and his contributions of service to his community and his church.

Dewey is survived by his wife, Louisa; daughter Cassie (Denny) Mitchell; son Dewey B. Nelson III; grandchildren Maya, Caden and Jonah; and brother Donald K. Nelson of Prescott.

A Celebration of Dewey's life will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, 1001 Ruth St., Prescott, Arizona.
