Gertrude (Peggy) Burk, born April 17, 1930, in Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully at home on March 24, 2015, a month prior to her 85th birthday. She married John Burk on June 17, 1951.

They moved to Torrance, California in 1952. In 1955, she gave birth to son Robert. In 1958, she gave birth to twin girls, Donna and Ellen. After 20 years in California, the family moved to Ash Fork, Arizona, to build and operate a KOA Campground for 10 years. Upon selling the business, she settled in as a loving homemaker and grandparent to the offsprings of her daughters and son. Her death brought a welcome release from painful last months.

We will miss her so much, but welcome her release of pain.

God speed, Peggy and watch over us. She is survived by her husband John; son Robert; daughters, Donna and Ellen; sons-in-law Norman and Zane; and daughter-in-law Karen; as well as five grandchildren; two sisters, Irene and Joann and their husbands, Moose and Kenneth.

Information provided by survivors.
