Joseph William Pritchett

Joseph William Pritchett, 54, died Monday, March 23, 2015, at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center, after a long battle with illness.

Born on March 1, 1961, and raised in Prescott, the son of Charles and Eleanor (Hamilton) Pritchett, he was a lifelong resident of Prescott, Arizona.

He leaves his wife, Debbie (Larsen) Pritchett; his daughter, Kristina Pritchett; his mother Eleanor E. Hamilton-Pritchett; his sister Eleanor Jon Pritchett; his niece Ella Pritchett; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In Joe's early years, you would always see him working on his car, truck or motorcycle. He always had a Mustang or a Ford Pickup that he was tuning, or he would be keeping his motorcycle in top condition. He loved guns, hunting, racing cars and had a huge love for animals.

He always had a garden growing and would share his vegetables and fruit with everyone in the family. He shared his many loves with his family, especially his daughter Kristina, whom he was so proud of.

When he was younger, he worked building houses and was a talented carpenter. He then worked for Fain in Prescott Valley. He started working at the Veterans Hospital and stayed there until he retired from the Prescott VA Center after 20 years of service.

A funeral service and burial will be at 2 p.m. at the Pioneer Cemetery in Prescott on Friday, March 27, 2015.
