| The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 04/14/2015 Clarence Ramel, 93, died March 22, 2015, at Haven of Show Low Nursing Home. He was born April 22, 1921, in Strandburg, S.D. Clarence served his country in the Army during World War II. He was an avid hunter and fisherman along and loved to shoot pool and throw horseshoes. He and Elizabeth loved to dance. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Elizabeth Ramel; daughter Kathleen Varhol of Lakeside; two grandchildren, Rich Westling of Hopkins, Maine, and Missy Rodriguez of the Dominican Republican; two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Emma Rodriguez of the Dominican Republic; and one brother, Jerry Ramel of Minong, Wis.
