Aurora Lee (Archer) Gilmer

Aurora Lee Gilmer of Cottonwood died March 18. She was born July 23, 1919, in San Fernando, Calif., the daughter of James Willis Archer and Sibyl May Sidow Archer.

She was a graduate of San Fernando High School. She worked in gifts sales and in picture framing.

Mrs. Gilmer enjoyed cross-stitching and knitting. She will be remembered by her family as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by sons Daryl C. (Shirley) Gilmer of Cottonwood and Ron D. (Jeannette) Gilmer of Apple Valley, Calif.; sisters Roberta Archer of El Paso, Texas, and Edith (Don) Chance of Wichita, Kan.; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held in the Westcott Funeral Home on March 20. Burial followed in Valley View Cemetery.
