Fred M. Van Dine, 79, resident of Pinetop, died peacefully April 20, 2015, with his family by his side.

Fred served 27 years in the U.S. military and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Chandler in 2001 and moved to his dream home in the mountains.

He volunteered at the Larson Library. He enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, reading, cooking and spending time with his family.

Fred is survived by his wife of 32 years, the love of his life, Carla; two daughters, Kelly (John) of New Hampshire and Kristy of New Hampshire; two sons, Duane (Jessyca) of Texas and Gregory (Aracely) of Arizona; eight-grandchildren and two great granddaughters.

He will be greatly missed by all his friends and loved ones.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at White Mountain Methodist Church in Show Low. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Larson Library or White Mountain Methodist Church.
