| Laurel F. Grundmeier Born in Bremerton, Washington on June 1, 1943 Departed on July 11, 2006 and resided in Cottonwood, Ariz. Laurel F. Grundmeier, 63, resident of Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2006 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born June 1, 1943 to Clifford and Marian Grundmeier in Bremerton, Washington. She was a graduate of Concordia College in Minnesota, University of Illinois and Prescott College. She taught physical education in Hood River, Oregon and Paxton, Illinois. Laurel was a career counselor with the State of Minnesota Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and also was in private counseling practice. The past 24 years she worked at the Verde Valley Medical Center, most recently under the Perot Health Systems as a patient account auditor. She is survived by her brother, Mitchell Grundmeier of Kennewick, Washington; several nieces and nephews;her life partner, Carrie Andrews; and her beagle, Towser. At her request, there will be no services. Contributions may be sent to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, Utah, 84741-5000. |
