| Joan T. Larson Born in Alta Vista, Iowa on Nov. 15, 1926. Departed on Sept. 29, 2006 and resided in Sedona, Ariz. Joan Larson, age 79, of Sedona, Arizona and former resident of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully, September 29, 2006. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Gale Larson. Joan is survived by her son, Ward Larson, wife Julie, Sedona, Ariz.; her daugher, Carolyn Maher, husband Michael, San Diego, Calif.; her sister Fritz Tozzi of Arlington Heights, Ill.; granddaughter, Amber Larson of Phoenix, Ariz.; and grandson, Corey Larson, wife Sandra of Phoenix, Ariz. Joan was born in on November 15, 1926 in Alta Vista, Iowa to Joseph and Rosa Frantzen, as the youngest of ten children. She attended Arizona State University graduating with honors and then taught 22 years in the Roosevelt School District.
