Sandy Steele, 69, resident of Camp Verde, Arizona, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2006. She was born on November 12, 1936 to Joseph and Ruth (Stokie) Sandy in Phoenix, Arizona, where she grew up and was a graduate of Phoenix Union High School.

She was an award winning equestrian. She was also the Secretary for the National Speedboat and Water Ski Racing Association for several years.

Sandy was an active member of the Camp Verde Lions Club, VFW and American Legion.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred T. Steele. She leaves behind her son, Russell Steele of Camp Verde, Ariz.; her daughters, Debra Fields of Phoenix, Ariz., and Rhea Lian Barnes of Great Falls, Montana; and two adored grandchildren, Eric and Justin Barnes, both of Great Falls, Montana.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Camp Verde American Legion Hall.
