John A. King, 95, resident of Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2006. He was born in Autabann, New Jersey on February 24, 1911 to Jerome Francis and Ada Louisa (Hartley) King.

John served his country in the Army Air force as Private. Professionally, he worked as a mechanical supervisor civil service. He was a member of Verde Valley Baptist Church. John enjoyed photography, traveling, and camping.

John is preceded in death by two wives, Virginia and Grayce; and his daughter, Ruth Malone. He is survived by his son, John A. King, Jr.; his daughters, Barbara J. (Ernest) Castillo of Phoenix, Ariz., and Doris (Raymond) Ornelas of Calif.; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave., in Cottonwood on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at 11:00 a.m., with a one-hour prior visitation.
