Joel (Jeff) F. Lemaire passed away March 31, 2015. He suffered for many years with Parkinsons Disease, and it finally won in the end. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Bonnie; daughter Betsy Nunn (Will); grandchildren Wyatt, Lilly and Ethan; sister Linda Ratliff and brother jack. He donated his body to science.

His remains were cremated and buried at the Veterans Cemetery in Phoenix.

He was a farrier, Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association calf roper, horse trainer and maker of bits and spurs for most of his life. He was a Gold Card member of the PRCA and sold calf roping horses and bits all over the world.

He was most proud of his family and kids he helped with roping, as well as the bits and brands he designed. He loved Arizona and retired in Wickenburg in 2000.

Jeff was born in Tauton, Mass., and lived on a dairy. He joined the Marines and made his way west. In lieu of flowers, his family asks that donations be made to the PRCA Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund, which helps injured cowboys and their families.
