| Richard S. Hughes Born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 10, 1914. Departed on March 24, 2002 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Richard Hughes, 87, of Clarkdale died on Sunday March 24th. He was born May 10, 1914 in Hamilton, Ohio. He lived in Arizona for most of his life. He was a veteran of World War II having served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army from 1942-1946. After returning home, he worked as an administrator for the Phelps-Dodge Corporation. Mr. Hughes is survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Eleanor Hughes of Culver City, California and two nephews. Graveside services were held on Saturday, March 30 at 1:00 p.m. at the Valley View Cemetery. Military honors were accorded by VFW Post #7400.
