Mrs. Blair Young received word Sunday of the death of her nephew, Paul Nichols, Jr., of Mesa, Ariz., son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nichols, in a car accident near Phoenix.

The young man, who was 24 years of age, had lived in Des Moines until 1944 when he and his parents had moved to Mesa and the father and son owned and operated a flying field there. An uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Wilson of St. Louis, Mo., flew to Arizona and are accompying the Nichols family back to Des Moines, where funeral and burial services will be held the latter of the week.

The you man is survived by his parents and a sister, Sally, of Mesa. A sister had died eight years ago in Des Moines. The family had visited in Winterset at the Young home a number of times.
