Vero Beach Press Journal, Vero Beach, Florida Friday, December 29, 2000, page A5 Stella A. Carpenter of Prescott, Arizona died Saturday, December 23, 2000. Born May 28, 1917 in Barnesville, Ohio, Stella moved to Prescott in August of 1966. Stella was Director of Volunteers at Riverside hospital Columbus, Ohio, retiring in 1982. She was named Woman of the year during the late 60's in Ohio, receiving Presidential recognition from President Richard Nixon for her work with the "candy stripper teen volunteer program" in the state of Ohio. Survivors include daughters and sons-in law Donna an Don Kincaid of Prescott, Arizona; and Kay and David Campbell of Butler, Penn.; Sisters and brothers-in-law: Evelyn Kistler of Vero Beach, Fla.; and Wilma and William McGregor of Vero Beach, Fla.; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 7 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by grandson, Tony Cipolla and brother-in-law Floyd Kistler of Vero Beach, Fla. Private cremation: Bradshaw Crematory, Prescott Valley, Arizona with inurnment in Ohio. Family suggests Memorial's YRMC Hospice, Restricted Fund, P. O. Box 26565, Prescott Valley, Arizona, 86312. Arrangements under the direction of Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral home, Cortez at Carleton, Prescott, AZ. |
