Robert Travis Gazzam

Robert "Travis" Gazzam, died May 6, 2007 at Bob Stump VA Medical Center in Prescott, Arizona. He was born June 7, 1938 the son of John and Amy (Jimulla) Gazzam, at the Phoenix Indian Hospital. Travis was 68 years old.

Travis proudly served in the United States Marine Corp from June of 1957 till June of 1960 and then enlisted in the United States Army; serving from September of 1960 till December of 1963. He was a para ¬ archaeologist for the tribe prior to his first stroke over 10 years ago. For the past several years, Travis has been under the care of nurses and doctors at Bob Stump VA Medical Center.

Travis is survived by his wife, Lucille; son Patrick; and daughters, Stephanie and Lisa Gazzam, all of Prescott; step children, Douglas Wilson, Lueptia Vasquez and Angela (Mark) Pauley; brother Ted (Genevieve) Vaughn; and sister Darlene Ogo; four grandchildren, Quincy and Jake Edwards, Priscilla Rodriquez and Sophia Gazzam; 12 step grandchildren; and five step great grandchildren.

Travis was preceded in death by his daughter, Jo Hannah and sister, Patricia McGee.

A celebration of "Travis's" Life will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at the Yavapai Prescott Gathering Center, 530 Merritt Ave, Prescott, Arizona, with burial at the Yavapai Prescott Tribal Center.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2007 at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton, Prescott.
