Herman Martin, Jr. Born in Brooklyn, New York on Dec. 22, 1917. Departed on March 10, 2006 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Herman Martin age 88, 23 yrs resident of Cottonwood Ariz., passed away at home on March 10, 2006. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Dec 22, 1917 to Herman, Sr. and Katherine Martin, he was the oldest of 3 children. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Agnes Martin, who died Jan 25, 2006. He is survived by his son Glenn Martin and wife Pamela and their two children Michelle Edwards and husband Matthew and Eric Martin and wife Amber; his sister Helen Martin and brother Robert Martin. He will be loved and dearly missed by those who knew him and remembered for his love of Baseball. He was a fan from the Brooklyn Dodgers to the New York Mets to the AZ Diamondbacks. He was also an avid bowler and fishing enthusiast. Herman was a Naval veteran of WWII serving in the South Pacific. Both the visitation at 9 a.m. and funeral service, at 10 a.m. will be Tuesday March 14, at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave in Cottonwood. His family requests that any donations be made to Northern Arizona Hospice, 269 S. Candy Lane, Cottonwood, Arizona.
