Sara Elizabeth Gober, 59, left to be with the Lord suddenly on Wednesday night, June 3, 2015, at 8 p.m. of an apparent heart attack.

She is survived by her husband, Will Gober of Midland; her daughter, Molly Gober of Odessa; her mother, Eleanor Spears; sisters, Mary Slaughter and husband Hal Slaughter of Prescott, Arizona and Mary Ann Collins and husband Bill Collins of Phoenix, Arizona; brother Dan Humphrey and wife Donna Humphrey of Tucson, Arizona; brother-in-law Ray Crumpler of Plano, Texas; sister-in-law Claudia Humphrey of Tucson; and her lifelong friend, Joan Bullis of Prescott, Arizona.

Sara was a lover of all living things. She and Will shared their horse farm with horses big and small, a mini donkey for a time, dogs, cats and even cows, though not her favorites.

She grew up on horseback in Arizona and her passion grew for paint horses. For 30 years, Sara made her home in Prescott, where she met and married Will, and had and raised their daughter Molly. Business opportunities brought them to Midland. Upon moving to Texas and settling on a perfect horse farm, she began to cultivate her dream through a stud horse named Stars. He sired her pride and joy - an award winning mare named Fancy. Her joy was complete when her daughter, Molly, moved to Midland as well. Sara was a peace loving woman and loved her family and friends well.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at their farm, 3710 SCR 1090, with a meal served after.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the West Texas Horse Rescue Foundation, Inc., #10175242, Community National Bank; 501c3 ID #31649.
