Isaac (Ike) Shaw

GLOBE — Isaac “Ike” Shaw, 92, of Globe, Ariz. died peacefully in his home on Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Ike was born to Isaac and Ora (Woodall) Shaw in Pinnacle, Arkansas on Nov. 25, 1922. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Navy. Moving to Globe in 1947, he faithfully attended the Word of Life Assembly of God Church, often attending three times a week for more than 60 years. He worked at the Miami school district from 1955 – 1979 as a bus driver and custodian. People today still remember him driving them to school.

Isaac is fondly remembered as a loving father. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him and survive him. His children, Kay (Jerry) Valenzuela, and Gary Shaw; sister, Doris Chansley; grandchildren, Melissa Weaver, Mark Bernal, and Jay Valenzuela and six great-grandchildren survive him.

Ike was previously deceased by his loving wife; Montine Shaw; and his daughter, Carolyn Holmes.

Memorial services for Ike were held Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the Calvary Shadows Assembly of God Church at 815 S. Verde Drive in Globe, Ariz.

The family was assisted by Bulman Miles Funeral Services, Globe.
