| McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel, Safford, Arizona Wilford Harlan Claridge April 10, 1928 - June 30, 2015 Wilford Harlan Claridge, 87, entered into rest at his home in Thatcher, Arizona, on June 30, 2015. Wilford was born April 10, 1928 to George and Lila Claridge in Safford. He lived the first years of his life in Arizona Canyon. He attended Klondyke Elementary School and graduated from Safford High School. Wilford was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Western States mission from 1953 until 1955 which included Colorado, Nebraska and Montana. On June 7, 1956 he married Sylvia Jane Griffin. Wilford worked the Cross F Ranch with his father, George B. Claridge, and other family members, from childhood until 2002. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Wilford is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sylvia Claridge, daughters; Marie Claridge, Ruth (Vaughn) Grant, and Patrice (Mike) Millett, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; George and Lila Claridge, son; Jason Claridge, sister and brother-in-law; Marge and Con Habberstad. A viewing and visitation will be held on Sunday evening, July 5, 2015 from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Caldwell Funeral Chapel and again on Monday, July 6th at 9:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Thatcher Stake Center with the funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Thatcher Cemetery.
