Francis H. Deef, 77, of Cottonwood, Ariz., died November 9. He was born May 27, 1926 in Waseca, Minnesota.

He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps.

He attended Catholic University of Minnesota in 1951 with a degree in Biochemsitry enginnering. He went on to Georgetown Law School whre he receieved his LLB and JD degrees in 1956.

Mr. Deef wasa retired patent attorney.

He enjoyed traveling to Europe, Africa and Asia and the Western United States. Gardening and yardwork were his hobbies.

He is survived by his wife, Ada K. Deef; and a brother Robert Deef of Waseca, Minnesota.

His brothers Jim, John and Tom preceded him in death.

There are no public services planned. Private burial will be in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
