Wittmann, Ariz. — John Paul Hurtado passed away on July 1, 2015 in Wittmann, Ariz. He was born on Nov. 11, 1978 to Henry and Mary Lou Hurtado in Phoenix, Ariz. At the age of three, John moved with his family to Globe, Ariz. He grew up there and graduated from Globe High School in 1997.

Starting at a young age, John found a love for baseball and played for the community leagues and Globe Schools. John met his soul mate and best friend, Michelle, in kindergarten. They started dating in high school and have been inseparable ever since. After high school they moved to the valley to pursue their educations. John became a certified electrician in 2002. They started their family and lived in Mesa, Ariz. for a few years then moved to Wittmann, Ariz.

John was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. He devoted his life to providing for his wife Michelle, and his four beautiful daughters.

He loved being around his family and friends, and he gave everyone their own unique nicknames. John was a hard worker, yet spent his spare time camping and watching NASCAR races, in which Dale Earnhardt was his favorite driver. He also enjoyed all different sports; he especially liked watching his favorite teams the Atlanta Braves, the Arizona Cardinals and the Phoenix Suns.

John is preceded in death by his father, Henry Hurtado; his grandparents, Hank and Charlotte Fernandez and his grandmother, Reyna Grijalva.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle; his daughters, Marianna, Selena, Angelica, and Alejandra; his mother, Mary Lou Fernandez; his brothers, Marcos (Erlinda), Andrew and Michael; his brother-in-law, Thomas Herrera; an his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and Nephews, plus extended family and friends.

Memorial Service will be held at noon on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015 at 12 West Main St., Mesa, Ariz. 85201, during which lunch will be served.
