The funeral services of the late L. H. Hamilton were held in Phoenix Thursday. Though only a resident of Phoenix for about two years, Mr. Hamilton probably had a larger acquaintance and more friends than any man in the valley. It will be a long time before the board of trade will be able to find a man one-half as efficient and accomodating.

In the death of Laurence H. Hamilton, secretary of the Maricopa county Board of Trade, all Arizona suffers an irreparable loss. Not alone officially did he labor, but as representative of many leading eastern newspapers, he has benefitted and advertised the territory more than can be estimated. He is dead but the advancement of Arizona will be a worthy monument.
